ShuttleFlow Slider

YYEDC's latest masterpiece, ‘ShuttleFlow’Infinite Position Slide

I'm very grateful to the YYEDC designer for letting me name this piece.

In my conversation with the designer, he mentioned that the idea for this piece came from his time being obsessed with badminton. The radially expanding texture on the surface of the product comes from the bottom of a badminton shuttlecock, with the texture spreading outwards to the four corners like the outward feathers of a badminton shuttlecock. The hollowed-out grooves then simulate the gaps between the feathers of a badminton shuttlecock.

Following the designer's explained design concept, I named it ShuttleFlow.

1.Shuttle – taken from the first part of the English word "shuttlecock" precisely corresponding to the design inspiration of "badminton."

2.Flow – embodies the sliding, looping, and smooth feel of an "infinite-position slider."

Compared to YYEDC's first product, the Heart Slider

In terms of appearance: Unlike the Heart Slider's numerous curved surfaces, the 'ShuttleFlow' features a predominantly sharp, angular design, conveying a strong sense of muscle tension. A single side uses over 40 facets, and the large obtuse angles prevent any sharp edges or cuts.

The surface has a pre-installed holographic paper inside the perforated grooves, which creates a play of light and shadow as you handle it.（The internal holographic paper can be replaced with your preferred type of paper.）

The four corners have been specially optimized, with the raised origin points allowing for smoother fancy movements at the corners.

Regarding the magnetic configuration:
The four corners are 7×3mm N45; the center is 5×3mm N25.
