Star Core G10
Star Core G10 Material Released
The Star Core G10 represents a significant upgrade from previous versions:
1. The Star Core G10 incorporates a patch structure in its original design. This enhances the overall aesthetics while using aluminum alloy patches to absorb the pressure from the screw holes, effectively preventing stripping.

2.Star Cores and Crystals use the same baseboard system, are compatible with all Crystal parts, and share the same ecosystem. Experienced Crystal players may have multiple baseboards and magnet boards; they only need to purchase the corresponding Star Core parts to create their own Star Core.
3.The Star Core G10 uses the same B-05 baseplate system as the new crystal slider. The B-05 baseplate retains the circular elements from the 02 and 04 baseplates, but removes the cross-shaped pattern. Prioritizing functionality, it eliminates unnecessary areas from the baseplate and innovatively adopts a curved side design (the B-05 was previously codenamed "Swallow-shaped baseplate").

The Star Core G10 baseplate is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is strong, wear-resistant, has some ductility, is not easily corroded or rusted, and has relatively acceptable processing costs, making it very suitable as a structural component that comes into frequent contact with fingers. However, stainless steel itself has a relatively high coefficient of friction and is easily stained with sweat or other dirt. Therefore, the author used a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating on top of the stainless steel baseplate. The DLC coating greatly alleviates the inherent defects of stainless steel. It is strong, wear-resistant, lubricating, and does not easily attract oil stains, making it a perfect match for the push-card baseplate.
4.Magnetic plate replacement
To better utilize the performance of the B-05 baseplate, the author readjusted the parameters of the magnet plate and tentatively introduced rectangular magnets to optimize the magnetic force distribution. After hands-on experience, I found that the smoothness of movements targeting the four corners was indeed improved.

In terms of appearance: The overall design is rounded with a raised center that fits snugly in the palm of your hand, providing a full and comfortable grip. Points of leverage are provided around the edges to effectively prevent slippage.

On the base plate: The base plate uses numerous cross-shaped grooves to reduce friction, and features raised dots around the edges, allowing the slider to quickly rotate using these dots as fulcrums when pushed to the four corners. A PEEK patch was applied to one side, and silicone oil was applied to the PEEK patch, significantly improving overall smoothness. (After prolonged use, applying a small amount of silicone oil with a tissue can quickly restore the original factory lubrication.)

Regarding the magnet structure: The design features six magnets (arranged in a 2x3 pattern) on one side and eight magnets (arranged in a 2x4 pattern) on the other. The specific strength information for the magnets is as follows: The six-magnet side has 7x3 N35 magnets at the corners and a 5x3 N25 magnet in the center; the eight-magnet side also has 7x3 N35 magnets at the corners and a 5x3 N25 magnet in the center. Furthermore, the eight-magnet side has its frame closer to the edge, while the six-magnet side is closer to the center. This design improves overall maneuverability, increases the success rate of tricks, and makes the magnet less prone to disassembly.

Regarding overall weight, the author has carefully designed it to be around 39g, and included internal slots for installing counterweights, allowing for weight adjustment by adding or removing brass blocks.
Furthermore, this base plate (B-02) is compatible with previous STAR SURFER products, ensuring perfect fit with other devices.
